BLOOMINGTON, Ind. The Indiana womens tennis team moved up two places, to 27th in nation, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Rankings released on Feb. 8.
Stanford retained the top spot by garnering eight first-place votes for a total of 600 points. Florida is second (588), followed by Kentucky and Georgia (586), while Northwestern (565) rounds out the top-five. IU will face Kentucky on Feb. 20, in Lexington, and Northwestern on April 1, in Evanston.
The Hoosiers are ranked second among all Big Ten teams with 380 points, while Michigan is third, 29th place, with 362 points.
Indiana will play a trio of matches this weekend in the IU Varsity Tennis Center. The Hoosiers will host No. 30 Wake Forest on Saturday at 10 a.m., and No. 19 Texas A&M and Butler on Sunday at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
