    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's tennis team moved up two places, to 27th in nation, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Rankings released on Feb. 22. Senior Dora Vastag moved from 91st to 84th in the nation player rankings, also released today.

    Stanford retained the top spot by garnering eight first-place votes for a total of 600 points. Florida is second (592), followed by Georgia (584) and Northwestern (576), while Duke (568) rounds out the top-five.

    The Hoosiers are ranked second among all Big Ten teams with 380 points, while Michigan is third, 29th place, with 363 points.

    Vastag is 12-10 overall and 4-5 this spring. She has faced five players ranked in the top-70 nationally, including four in the top 45. The Okemos, Mich., native bested then-No. 16 Karin Coetzee, 7-6 (2), 6-1, of then-No. 30 Wake Forest on Feb. 12.

    Indiana will play a pair of matches on Saturday, Feb. 26, in the IU Varsity Center. The Hoosiers host Marquette at 9:30 a.m., and No. 44 Western Michigan at 2:30 p.m. Admission to all of the matches is free.
