    Hoosiers To Take on No. 23 Notre Dame and Kentucky

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's tennis team continues through a tough stretch in its non-conference schedule this weekend. The Hoosiers will head to South Bend to battle No. 23 Notre Dame on Friday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. ET. IU will then conclude the weekend with a home match against Kentucky on Sunday, Feb. 26, beginning at 11 a.m. ET.


    The Fighting Irish have a 6-3 record so far this season, with each of their losses coming against top-40 ranked teams. Notre Dame topped No. 57 Illinois in its last match, 4-3. The Irish have two players ranked nationally in singles in No. 39 Shannon Mathews and No. 124 Jennifer Kellner. Notre Dame also boasts one of the best doubles tandems in the country in No. 3 Kristy Frilling and Mathews.

    Kentucky sits at 8-2 for the year, having won in five of its last six matches. UK fell to an undefeated Akron team in it last time out, 4-3. The Wildcats have one ranked combo in doubles in No. 36 Jessica Stiles and Khristina Blajkevitch.
