    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's tennis team slipped two places, to 27th in nation, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Rankings released on March 8. Senior Dora Vastag dipped to 99th among all Division I women's players.

    Stanford retained the top spot by garnering eight first-place votes for a total of 600 points. Florida is second (592), followed by Georgia (584) and Northwestern (577), while Vanderbilt (570) rounds out the top-five.

    The Hoosiers are ranked second among all Big Ten teams with 390 points, while Wisconsin is third, 34th place, with 314 points.

    Vastag has an overall mark of 14-10, but five of her losses have come to players ranked among the top 100 by the ITA.

    After an 11-day layoff the Hoosiers will return to the courts this Thursday, March 10, for a home match with No. 20 TCU. The contest is slated to begin at 3 p.m., and will be played in the IU Varsity Tennis Center. The Hoosiers then will travel to University Park, Pa., to open Big Ten play against the Nittany Lions on Sunday, March 13. The league battle starts at 10 a.m., and will be held in the Penn State Tennis Center.
