BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 44 Indiana women's tennis team will play host to in-state rival No. 31 Purdue on Friday afternoon at the IU Tennis Center. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET.

The Boilermakers have a 5-4 record on the year, but all four losses have came to opponents ranked 32nd or better nationally. Purdue won its last match over Big Ten foe Illinois, 5-2, on March 9 and is 1-1 in conference matches.

Purdue's Krisztina Kapitany and Mara Schmidt team together in doubles and are ranked No. 43 nationally in the latest ITA Rankings. The Boilermakers have topped Indiana in each of the last three years.

Indiana currently sits at 11-4 in dual play and has lost only to ranked opponents. Friday's match will mark IU's second Big Ten matchup this season as the Hoosiers fell to then-No. 8 Northwestern on Feb. 20.

IU's Sophie Garre continues to be ranked in the latest ITA National Singles Rankings at No. 109.

Friday's meeting with Purdue will end an 11-match homestand for the Hoosiers. Indiana will next play at home on April 5 vs. Nebraska.
