    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana (7-6, 1-0) has won three of its last four matches and will look to continue the trend on Thursday, March 17, with a match against No. 32 UNLV. The road contest is slated to begin at 1 p.m. (PDT) and will be played in the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

    IU NEWS AND NOTES

    ***IU won its Big Ten opener, 4-3, over Penn State on March 13 in its last outing. With the victory, Indiana head coach Lin Loring is now 24-4 in Big Ten openers.

    ***The Cream and Crimson will also look to win its second match on the road this year. The win over PSU on Sunday, was the first road conquest of the spring. IU has a mark of 6-2 on the courts at the IU Varsity Tennis Center.

    ***Senior Dora Vastag and sophomore Cecile Perton have been sharp at the No. 3 doubles position. The duo has registered an overall mark of 14-4, while capturing 10 of their last 12 matches.

    ***All six starters for the Hoosiers have eclipsed the 10-win plateau: sophomore Laura McGaffigan has a team-best 18, followed by freshman Brianna Perton with 15 apiece, while Vastag (14), junior Sarah Batty (12) and senior Dominika Walterova (11) round out the top-six.

    ***McGaffigan and Batty lead the team in spring victories with 10 and nine, respectively.

    ***Indiana is 6-0 on the year when Vastag wins at No. 1 singles.
