March 22, 2012
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 57 Indiana women's tennis team will return to competition for the first time in two weeks with two road matches this weekend. IU will first take on No. 46 Penn State on Friday, March 23, at 4 p.m. ET. The Hoosiers will then travel to Columbus to battle No. 66 Ohio State on Sunday, March 25, at 11 a.m. ET.
Indiana (11-4, 0-1) returns from its Florida spring break training trip in hopes of getting the first Big Ten win of the season. IU fell to Purdue in an exciting match just before the break.
The Nittany Lions (9-3, 1-0) are led by Petra Januskova, who is currently ranked No. 55 nationally in singles. As a team, PSU is riding a four-match win streak. Penn State has won nine of its last 10 matches overall.
Ohio State (5-9, 0-1) hopes to rebound after losing in its last four matches. In those losses however, three matches took place away from Columbus and three of the opponents were ranked nationally.
