    No. 44 Hoosiers Fall To No. 50 Tar Heels 6-0

    Chapel Hill, N.C. - The women's tennis team dropped its fourth straight match with a loss to 50th-ranked North Carolina 6-0 today. The loss dropped the Hoosiers record to 10-6 (3-2 Big Ten).

    In singles, the Hoosiers lost all six matches. At No. 1, Jessica Anderson lost her match to Marlene Mejia 6-4,6-3. Kelly Blanch, playing at the No. 2 position, fell in a close three-set match to Jessica Zaganczyk 6-3,1-6,7-5. Jessica Levin retired after being down 7-6,-0 to Caroline Hill at No. 3. At No. 4, Amanda Field was defeated by Courtney zalainski 6-4,7-6. At No. 5, Becky Wallihan fell to Kendrick Bunn 6-2,7-5. At No. 6, Jennifer Hsia lost her match to Kate Pinchbeck 7-6,6-3.

    With the match already decided after the singles, the doubles matches were not played.

    The Hoosiers will face another tough test tomorrow with a match against 11th-ranked Duke in Durham, North Carolina. The match will begin at noon.
