Hoosiers Hit the Road

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 34 Indiana University women's tennis team (12-5, 2-2) is headed north this weekend for a pair of road conference matches, opening with Minnesota (10-8, 3-2) on Friday evening at 7 p.m. EST before a showdown with No. 22 Iowa (13-3, 3-2) Sunday at noon EST.
All three schools have a nationally-ranked doubles team. Lindsey Stuckey and Evgeniya Vertesheva make up the 52nd-ranked doubles tandem in the country while Iowa's Merel Beelen and Sonja Molnar and Alessandra Ferrazzi and Tijana Koprivica of Minnesota are slotted No. 15 and No. 80, respectively. In addition, Molnar can also be found in the singles rankings, coming in at No. 55 nationally.
The Hoosiers own a substantial lead in both all-time series, taking 30 of 36 matches against the Golden Gophers and defeating the Hawkeyes in 28 of 35 all-time meetings.
