    Hoosiers Face Three Opponents This Weekend

    ON TAP...The Hoosiers return home this weekend for three matches. On Thursday, they will face Notre Dame at 3 p.m. They then will return to Big Ten action with a match on Saturday against Illions at 11 a.m. and on Sunday against Northwestern at 10 a.m. The Hoosiers faced all three of these teams last year. The lost their match to Notre Dame 5-2. Against Illinois, they were victorious in their only meeting, winning 6-1. They faced Northwestern twice last year, splitting the two matches. In the regualr season, they dropped a 4-3 decision in Evanston, Illinois and in the Big Ten tournament they defeated Northwestern 5-2.

    WEEKEND SWEEP...The Hoosiers went up to Michigan last weekend and came home with two wins. On Satuday , the Hoosiers defeated Michigan 4-3. The women split the singles matches and won the doubles point. On Sunday, they defeated Michigan State 5-2.

    ANDERSON HITS TWO MILESTONES...With Anderson's win against Michigan's Danielle Lund, she achieved her 80th (81-33) career singles win at Indiana. She also picked up her 60th career doubles win with a win on Sunday against Michigan State. On the season, she is the currently the only Hoosier with 20 wins in both singles and doubles. She now has 24 singles wins and 25 wins in doubles.

    20 WIN SEASONS...The Hoosiers have two women with 20 wins in singles this season and three with 20 wins in doubles. Besides Anderson, Ana Ceretto has won 20 singles matches. Zahra Ahamed and Amanda Field are the other 20 win doubles players. They both have 22 wins.

    POTPOURRI...Field has benn impressive in dual matches so far this spring, posting a 10-7 singles record and is now 17-11 for the year...Ceretto has posted a 20-12 singles record and a 17-9 doubles record...Sophomore Jennifer Hsia won her first Big Ten match that she played this year against Michigan State.

    DOUBLES TEAMS...The Hoosiers doubles teams played a crucial role in the two victories last weekend. They were a combined 5-1, and took the point in both matches. The point against Michigan turned out to be the deciding factor in the match.

    COACH LIN LORING...is currently in his 22nd season as the Head Coach of the Hoosies women's tennis team. In his 22 season's he has compiled a remarkable overall record of 530-139, while accumulating a 257-25 record against Big Ten opponents. The four-time Big Ten Coach -of the-Year and two-time National Coach-of-the -Year, has compiled an 572-156 overall record in his 26 year coaching career. Prior to Indiana, caoach Loring spent four-years as the Head Coach of UC-Santa Barbara.

    LOOKING TO THE FUTURE...The Hoosiers will finish their Big Ten regular season with two away matches the weekend of April 24-25. On April 24, they will face Wisconsin at 11 a.m.. Then on April 25, they visit Iowa visits for a match beginning at noon.
