BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - No. 34 Indiana will wrap up the regular season schedule this weekend against two ranked Big Ten opponents. The Hoosiers will host No. 47 Illinois in Bloomington on Friday, April 19, at 3 p.m. ET. IU will then battle No. 16 Northwestern in Evanston on Sunday, April 21, at Noon ET.

The Hoosiers sit at 17-6 on the season with a 6-3 mark in Big Ten play, which puts them in fifth place in the conference standings heading into the weekend. The Hoosiers are hoping with a couple wins to move into the top four spots in the league to receive a first round bye in next week's Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament which will take place in Bloomington on April 25-28.

Another story line as the regular season is coming to a close is that head coach Lin Loring is nearing the 800-win total as a head coach. Loring has led his teams to 795 career wins, which is the most wins ever in NCAA women's tennis history.

Indiana will tangle with a 12-9 Illinois squad on Friday afternoon. The Fighting Illini sit at 5-4 in Big Ten matches just behind Indiana in the standings. Two players from Illinois are ranked in this week's ITA National Singles Rankings in No. 102 Allison Falkin and No. 109 Melissa Kopinski. Kopinski is also ranked in doubles with teammate Racheal White as they sit 25th nationally.

Northwestern sits just in front of IU in the conference standings with a 7-2 mark in Big Ten matches and a 13-8 record overall on the year. Kate Turvey is ranked in the top 50 nationally in singles, as she is 49th in the country. Her teammate Veronica Corning ranks 122nd nationally in singles. NU's Linda Abu Mushrefova and Nida Hamilton combine to make up the No. 18 doubles tandem in the nation.
