Third-seeded Indiana earned a first round bye and will face the winner of the No. 6 Michigan State (12-12, 3-7) and No. 11 Wisconsin (9-13, 2-8) on Friday at 2 p.m. eastern time. The Spartans and Badgers play Thursday at noon. Indiana defeated Michigan State and Wisconsin earlier this season 6-1 and 7-0, respectively.

"Finishing 8-2 and third in the Big Ten this year was about as good as we could have done," said Head Coach Linn Loring. "Four of our eight wins were by 4-3 scores, so it shows how close all the teams were."

If Indiana gets by the winner of the #3/#6 match-up, there's a chance they would get another crack at No. 2 Michigan, who toppled the Hoosiers on Sunday, 7-0.

"If we are fortunate enough to win our first match on Friday and make the semifinals we are very excited to get another shot at Michigan. They dominated us last week and we feel we should be able to give them a better match. On the road, we gave the number one team in the country, Northwestern, a good match. Hopefully we can play at that level if we get a second match with Michigan."
