BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University will play host to the 2013 Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament on April 25-28 at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts. Play will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday and the Hoosiers will take the court for the first time that afternoon at 2 p.m. ET.
All 12 Big Ten Conference teams will participate in this weekend's event in Bloomington. Matches will begin at 10 a.m. ET each day except for the championship match that will begin at Noon ET on Sunday, April 28. If inclement weather occurs, play will be moved indoors to the IU Tennis Center.
Indiana (17-8, 6-5), which has won its most matches since the 2007-08 campaign, will be the sixth seed heading into the tournament. The Hoosiers will take on the 11th-seeded Wisconsin Badgers in the first round on Thursday. IU defeated Wisconsin earlier this year by a 7-0 margin.
The Hoosiers continue to have two players ranked in the latest ITA National Singles Rankings. Senior Leslie Hureau sits at No. 110. Hureau has won four-consecutive singles matches and five of her last six all while playing in the No. 1 position. Sophomore Katie Klyczek is also ranked as she sits 103rd nationally.
