BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore Leslie Hureau will travel to Stanford University this week, as she is the third alternate for the NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championship. The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 25-30 at the Taube Tennis Center in Stanford, Calif., following the conclusion of the team championship, which runs May 20-24. Stanford is serving as the host.

Hureau finished the year with a 24-10 record playing in the No. 1 position for the entire season. In the ITA Women's Singles Rankings for May 2, Hureau was at No. 63. The Annecy-le-Vieux, France native, was also named First Team All-Big Ten by the conference coaches for her performance this spring.

"This will be a wonderful experience for Leslie," Head Coach Lin Loring said. "She is on the bubble and hopefully will get in. If not, it will still be great for her to experience the atmosphere at the final site and see the high level of play in person."

Associate Head Coach Ramiro Azcui will also be traveling with Hureau to the NCAA Championships. Stay tuned to IUHoosiers.com for updates on if Hureau will have the opportunity to compete in the singles tournament.
