    Meet Sarah Batty

    Bloomington, IN - Native of Chesterfield, England, Sarah Batty enters her first year at Indiana. Prior to joining the Hoosier tennis team, Batty represented England in the Teen Tennis European Championships, where she advanced to the National Club League Playoff Finals in 2002.

    Batty was a Derbyshire women's singles champion as well as mixed doubles champion, and in 1999 Batty was selected as the Sports Player of the Year.

    BS: "Jennifer Capriati coming back from her relapse and getting back on top."

    BS: "Australia."

    BS: "I want to be very successful in the sports field."

    BS: "When I was seven."

    Q: If you had to play another sport, what would it be and why?

    BS: "I would dance. I used to dance in a company and I would love to make a profession out of it. It is just a great feeling being out there on stage."
