    Hoosiers Win Five of Six

    Kalamazoo, Mich. – The Indiana women’s tennis team completed play at the Western Michigan Fall Classic on Sunday, Nov. 9. The Hoosiers won all of their singles matches against Illinois State and split doubles against DePaul.

    In singles action against Illinois State, senior Karie Schlukebir defeated Simovic 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Sarah Batty defeated Miller 6-3, 6-4. Freshman Laura McGaffigan defeated Sechaud 6-1, 6-2, and Kara Zeder defeated Maxwell 6-1, 7-6 (1).

    The doubles team of Batty and McGaffigan defeated Ganeva and N. Matko of DePaul 8-3, while Schlukebir and Zeder lost to S. Matko and Rehusova of DePaul 8-1.

    The Hoosiers begin dual match season on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. when the Hoosiers host Western Michigan.
