Day One at ISU In the Books

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Day one of the ISU Quadrangular is in the books. The Hoosiers posted several notable marks on the day, led by Paul Haas in the discus and Sarah Pease and Andrew Poore in the 5,000m. The Indiana women are in fourth place after five events, and the men are in third.
Pease finished in 16:28.98 for second in the 5k. The time is the sixth fastest in school history. Pease was followed in by Wendi Robinson who took fourth with a time of 17:03.57.
Haas won the discus with a heave of 53.72m (176-3). The toss is the ninth-best in IU history. Haas was nearly three full feet better than the rest of the field. Haas added more than a meter to his career mark.
Poore took second in the 5,000m. His time of 14:15.43 is nearly six seconds better than his previous career mark. Poore was followed in by Nate Morrow, who took third with a time of 14:32.75.
Faith Sherrill took third in the discus. She recorded a heave of 49.15m (161-3), which was just an inch out of second place.
