Gall Turns in Fourth-Best 10K Time in School History at Mt. Sac Relays
April 17, 2006
WALNUT, Calif. - Jessica Gall, the only Indiana women's distance runner to compete at the prestigious Mt. Sac Relays, turned in one of the most prolific 10,000m times in school history en route to a NCAA provisional mark on April 13.
Gall recorded a personal best in the grueling 10k with a ninth-place time of 34:32.36. Moreover, Gall's run moved her into fourth on the all-time best list for the event, just one spot behind teammate Lindsay Hattendorf who claimed Indiana's third-best time in history (34:27.95) at the Stanford Invitational on March 31st.
Since the 10k is not ran at the regional meet, Gall's time earned her a NCAA provisional mark in the event, increasing her chances of competing at the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, Calif., June 7-10.
