    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Indiana women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2006 Mideast Regional at Tennessee's Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium on May 27. The IU women picked up four top-10 finishes to round out the meet.

    Despite turning in a personal best in the finals of the 1,500m, Larra Overton missed the cut for the NCAA Championships by one place. Overton took sixth with a time of 4:22.71.

    In the 100m finals, Ara Towns finished with the eighth-best time of 11.80.

    Kelly Siefker and Stephanie Greer rounded out the meet for Indiana in the 3,000m steeplechase. Siefker finished in seventh place with an impressive time of 10:24.80, while Greer took 17th with a personal-best time of 10:55.29.

    The Indiana women's closed the Mideast Regional Championships with seven points for 27th place.
