Hoosiers Compete In Pole Vault Summit

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana track and field team sent four athletes to the Pole Vault Summit in Fresno, Calif., held Jan. 19-20.
"The Pole Vault Summit was a great experience for our athletes. The atmosphere of the summit allowed them to be around a number of high-end vaulters," said assistant track and field coach Jake Wiseman. "All of our vaulters are doing great and progressing well this season."
Neuenswander and Williams each cleared their personal bests at the Summit. Neuenswander cleared 3.75 meters, a height which ranks third on the all-time list at Indiana. Williams cleared a height of 3.55 meters. She also moved into the top-five in the Hoosier record books.
On the men's side, Coover made a height of 4.95 meters, while Lechlitner recorded a mark of 4.35 meters.
The Hoosiers return to action at the Gladstein Invitational, held Friday and Saturday, Jan. 26-27. Action begins at noon EST on both days.
