    Clausing Takes Second in 200

    SOUTH BEND, Ind.- Sophomore Stacey Clausing continued her solid season with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash at the Meyo Classic. Clausing ran a personal-best 24.40 seconds in the race.

    Junior Jessica Gall was fourth in the 3000-meters with a time of 9: 30.92, eclipsing the NCAA provisional qualifying time of 9:35.00, while Larra Overton ran a personal best time of 2:11.07 to take home 14th-place in the 800m.

    As they have all year long, sophomores Courtney Johnson and Lorian Price battled in the 60-meter hurdles. Johnson took fourth with an 8.47, while Price earned fifth with a personal-best time of 8.53. Price also posted a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.92 meters.

    Sophomore Michele Huber was 11th in the 400-meters with a time of 56.36, while senior Ara Towns was 13th in the 60 and 12th in the 200 with runs of 7.71 and 24.50, respectively.

    Freshman Zakiya Robinson was 12th in the long jump with a career-best leap of 5.72m, and 16th in the 200 with a run of 25.15.

    Senior Allison Miller placed 11th in the 5000 clocked at 18:20.34, while classmate LaDonna Ray was 21st in the 400 with a posted time of 55.20.

    Freshman Laura Oehlman and sophomore Sarah Gilleran each recorded a 1.60m in the long jump, but a judges decision gave Oehlman 19th place and Gilleran 22nd.

    Freshman Nikki Peterson was 25th in the 800 with a personal-best run of 2:14.12.

    Indiana returns to action next weekend, Feb 11-12, as the Hoosiers participate in the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas<.
