PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Sophomore Lorian Price was selected as a recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, announced the conference on Wednesday evening.

Price finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.33. She also placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.83m.

The conference chose 10 student-athletes from this past week's Big Ten Championships who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the student-athletes must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

Price is now a candidate for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, as the Conference office will honor one male and one female student-athlete from each institution at the end of the school year.
