    GAINESVILLE, Fla--Due to inclement weather majority of Friday's events at the 62nd annual Florida Relays were canceled, allowing only a few Hoosiers to compete in their respective events.

    Ryan Ketchum put forth a solid effort in the discus, finishing fourth overall after heaving a regionally qualifying mark of 51.07m (167-06.00).

    Three Hoosier sprinters were able to squeeze in their competition as well as sophomores Stacey Clausing and Michele Huber and senior Charlene Maddox competed in the 400m. Clausing was the top finisher of the trio, clocking in a time of 55.42, good for fifth in the heat. Huber (57.72) and Maddox (58.12) finished 14th and 16th, respectively. The rest of the heats were not able to compete and will not be made up. In addition, the 200m, 800m and 400m hurdles have been cancelled for both the men and the women.

    The women's sprint medley team consisting of Clausing, Huber, senior LaDonna Ray and junior Larra Overton took home sixth place with a time of 3:56.39.

    While most of the Hoosiers were at the Florida Relays, the women's distance crew headed out west to the Stanford Invite. Junior Kelly Siefker was the top finisher for Indiana, capturing a fourth-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:24.69.
