    Women's Track and Field Travels to Missouri for Tom Botts invitational

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana track and field team will travel to the Tom Botts Invitational, hosted by the University of Missouri, Friday, April 13-Saturday, April 14, at the Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia, Mo.

    Friday's events begin with the hammer throw at 4 p.m. ET. Events on the track begin with the steeplechase at 7 p.m., and wrap up with the 5,000-meter run at 9:05 p.m. Saturday's events open with the high jump and 4x100-meter relay race at noon.

    The Hoosiers will compete against the host Tigers, Missouri State, Purdue and Western Kentucky.

    This weekend's meet will be a facilities preview for the Hoosiers, as Missouri will host the 2007 NCAA Mideast Regional Championships at Walton Stadium on May 25-26.

    Indiana's is returning to action after having last weekend off with the cancellation of the Indiana Relays due to cold weather conditions in Bloomington. The Hoosiers had two reach regional qualifying standards at the Stanford Invitational on March 30-31.

    Senior Jessica Gall provisionally qualified for the regional meet in May with a time of 33:54.65 in the 10,000-meter run for a new personal best. Her time ranks second all-time in the IU record book. Senior Courtney Johnson represented IU in the finals of the 100-meter hurdles and clocked a regional-qualifying time of 13.63.
