Women's Track and Field Travels to Cardinal Invitational This Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana track and field team will continue to look for more regional qualifications this weekend as it travels to the Cardinal Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville, on Friday, April 20-Saturday, April 21, at Cardinal Park in Louisville, Ky.
Only one field event is scheduled for competition on Friday. The hammer throw is set to start at 5:30 p.m. ET. Saturday's field events open with the pole vault and high jump at noon. Events on the track begin with the 4x100-meter relay at 2:15 p.m.
Indiana recorded 10 individual championships at the Tom Botts Invitational in Columbia, Mo., on April 13-14. IU also posted 16 personal best performances while in Columbia. Highlighting the weekend's finishes for the women were senior Stacey Clausing and sophomore Wendi Robinson.
Clausing saw time on top of the awards stand with a pair of first-place finishes. She won the 200-meter dash in 24.56 and then claimed the 400-meter title with a time of 57.14.
Robinson clocked IU's fifth-fastest time in school history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 10:53.11 for first place.
