WALNUT, Calif. -- Indiana seniors Rachelle Boone, Danielle Carruthers and Rose Richmond and junior Lauren Chesnut competed at the Mt. Sac Relays on April 19. Boone, who has already qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the 100m and 4x100m relay, can add the 200m qualifying time to her resume. She won her heat of the 200 (23.36) as well as the 100 (11.42).
Carruthers won the 100 hurdles with a time of 13.04, while Richmond was 10th in the long jump (6.01m/19-8.75). Chesnut placed eighth in the triple jump (12.88m/42-3).
On April 25-26, Indiana heads to two of the most prestigious track and field events in the nation. Some of the Hoosiers will travel to Philadelphia for the Penn Relays, while others travel to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays.
