    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After a week off, the Indiana track and field team will compete at the prestigious 112th-annual Penn Relays at Franklin Felid in Philadelphia, Pa., April 27-29.

    Ketchum Looks to Defend Shot Put Title
    IU's indoor All-American in the shot put, Ryan Ketchum looks to defend his Penn Relays shot put title this weekend at the 112th annual meet. Ketchum took home first place with a hurl of 17.97m (58-11.50) in 2005.

    One Step Closer
    After three weeks of outdoor competition, 17 Hoosiers and a relay team have met the NCAA regional qualifying standard in 19 events. The list after week three of the outdoor season is as follows: For the men, Jeff Coover (pole vault), Wil Fleming (Hammer Throw), Kyle Jenkins (Triple Jump),Stephanos Ioannou (110m Hurdles), Kyle Jenkins (triple jump), Ryan Ketchum (Shot Put and Discus), David Neville (200m and 400m), Ryan Smith (400m hurdles) and the Indiana "A" 4x400m relay team (Smith, Warfield, Dayhoff, Gunnell). On the women's side the list includes: Jessica Gall (5,000m and 3,000m steeplechase), Stephanie Greer (3,000m steeplechase), Lindsay Hattendorf (10,000m), Courtney Johnson (100m hurdles), Larra Overton (1,500m), Candace Perry (long jump), Lorian Price (100m hurdles), Wendi Robinson (5,000m), Kelly Siefker (3,000m steeplechase) and Ara Towns (100m).

    2005 Penn Relays Recap
    Indiana boasted a strong showing at the 111th annual Penn Relays in 2005. The IU men's 4x400m team took home the title with a time of 3:10.08, while the men's mile relay finished in third-place and third on Indiana's all-time list, crossing the line in 16:25.11. Individually, Ryan Ketchum took home first-place honors in the shot put with a toss of 17.97m (58-11.50).

    What's Next?
    The Hoosiers return home to host the Billy Hayes Invitational on Friday, May 5 at 4 p.m., at Billy Hayes Track at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex.
