West Lafayette, Ind. -- The Indiana women's track and field lost a close dual meet to Purdue 108-94. The women's team is 5-3.
Lorraine Dunlop was once again a double-winner. The sophomore sprinter won the 100m (11.58) and the 200m (24.22). Freshman thrower Krista Keir was victorious twice as well. She won the shot put (47-3.5) and the discus (167-0). Sophomore Jennifer Brown was second in the shot put (46-6-.75) and third in the discus (152-7).
Maria Fleischmann won the triple jump with a season-best mark of 40-3.50 and was second in the javelin (112-9). Also winning events were freshman Tia Trent in the 400m (54.37), Kim Craig in the 1500m (4:41.08), Jenna Locke in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:12.45, and LaToya Turner in the 100m hurdles (13.92).
The Hoosiers compete in their last meet of the season before the Big Ten Championships, by hosting the annual Billy Hayes Invitational on Saturday, May 15, at 11:45 a.m.
