BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana track and field team will have 10 student-athletes representing the Hoosiers on May 25-26, at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship, hosted by the University of Missouri at the Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia.

Friday's field events get underway at 1 p.m. ET with the high jump finals, while events on the track are scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m. with the prelims of the 4x100-meter relay. Saturday's field events open at noon with the trials and finals of the hammer throw, and track events are slated to start at 5:15 p.m. with the finals of the 4x100-meter relay.

This weekend's competition will feature Big Ten Champions freshman Vera Neuenswander and seniors Jessica Gall and Lorian Price.

Neuenswander cleared 4.10 meters to set a new meet and Nittany Lion Field record and claim her first-ever Big Ten individual championship. She went nose-to-nose with Minnesota's Alicia Rue, matching heights from 3.80-4.05 meters. The pair battled it out at the 4.10-meter mark with each missing their first two attempts. Neuenswander cleared her final attempt, with Rue missing, to take the individual title.

She currently ranks ninth in the nation overall in the pole vault and is the top-ranked freshman.

Gall clocked a time of 34:27.07 to take her first-ever Big Ten individual title in the 10,000-meter run. The two-time cross country All-American made a move from third with a lap and a half to go to pass Rebecca Walter from Michigan and Racheal Marchand from Iowa to win the event. She currently ranks 22nd in the nation in the 10K. Gall is set to run the 5,000-meters on Friday night.

Price hit her best mark of 6.46 meters on her first attempt to take the women's long jump title. Her mark currently ranks ninth in the nation. Price's leap is the third-best all-time in school history. She will also compete in the 100-meter hurdles on Friday evening.

Also competing for IU is the women's 4x100-meter relay team, senior Courtney Johnson in the 100-meter hurdles, senior Stacey Clausing in the 200- and 400-meter dashes, sophomore Caity Lauer in the 800-meter run, senior Lindsay Hattendorf in the 5,000-meter run and freshman Jackie Coleman in the long jump.
