What have the first few weeks of college life been like in relation to being a student athlete?
The first few weeks have been an adjustment for me, and I am still
adjusting as time goes on. Now that practice has started, Ive been pretty
overwhelmed with everything, but I am new to it, so I figure that I will get used to it eventually.
What are some of your personal goals this season?
For track, my personal goals are mainly to make an impact on this team - score points, work hard, be a good teammate, and help out in any way I can to win.
How different are practices with IU compared to your high school?
Very different, we did not work this hard, especially the first week!!
Why did you choose to come to Indiana?
I loved my visit compared to my other ones. Everything was good fit for me
while I was on my recruit visit, the campus, the coaches, and the girls on the team I was introduced to. Not to mention, I have loved IU basketball forever so that helped me decide that it would be an honor to be an athlete here.
What has been the biggest adjustment been to college life?
The biggest adjustment for me has been time management. I have never really had this much to do in one day! I have to rely on my self to get where I need to be at the right times and accomplish what I need to.
Overall, how does it feel to be a part of the IU track team?
Mainly, it is an honor to a part of the IU track team. It is very challenging, but I think that's a good thing!
