    IU Volleyball Holds Year End Banquet


    2011-12 Indiana Volleyball Banquet

    Indiana Volleyball held the banquet for the 2011 season on Sunday.

    JUNIOR YEAR (2010)
    Played in all 35 matches with 19 starts, leading IU to the first Sweet Sixteen appearance in school history ... led the team with 926 assists and had double-digit assists in all but one match on the season ... finished third on the team with 98 stuffs, averaging 0.82 swats per set ... added 58 kills and 132 digs on the season ... had a double-double against Illinois State, dishing out 50 assists and digging 10 balls ... had 45 assists in IU's opening round game versus Miami in the NCAA tournament ... followed that up with 41 assists in the second round against Tennessee ... earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

    Played in 33 matches with 21 starts ... recorded a team-high 851 assists and a 6.75 assists per set average ... second on the team with 104 blocks (seven solo) with just four blocking errors ... hit .319 en route to 82 kills ... also chipped in 84 digs and four service aces ... destroyed the Blue Hens of Delaware, posting a double-double (14 digs and 46 assists) and eight blocks in IU's four-set win ... just missed out on a triple-double versus Missouri State with 61 assists, nine kills and nine digs ... Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree ... an Academic All-Big Ten selection ... hosted a weekly video blog, which drew in more than 10,000 views by the end of the season.

    FRESHMAN YEAR (2008)
    Played in all 32 matches with 20 starts ... led the team with 709 assists and a 5.81 assists/set average ... her 95 total blocks ranked second on the team and matched Taylor Wittmer's freshman block total of 95, which is the fourth highest ever for an IU frosh ... posted a 16:1 blocks to blocking errors ratio, by far the best on the team ... also contributed 41 kills and 45 digs on the year ... recorded a double-double on the final day of the season, compiling 34 assists and 10 digs in a win at Ohio State ... picked up at least one block in 31 of 32 matches ... connected on a season-high five kills at Michigan State.

    PREP One of three finalists for the Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year in 2007 ... named All-American by PrepVolleyball.com as one of the top-150 high school players in the country, honored as the "#61 Senior Ace" ... also recognized by PrepVolleyball.com as a top-50 finalist for the Andi Collins Award, given to the nation's top setter ... led Starrs Mill High to back-to-back appearances in the state championship match (2006-07) ... led A5 Mizuno to a 2008 USA Volleyball National Championship in Dallas, Texas ... played club for A5 Mizuno from 2004-08 ... chosen for the All-Georgia team following junior and senior seasons ... won the Georgia High School Association AAAA State Player of the Year as a senior ... the All-Region MVP in 2007 as well ... the Atlanta Journal Constitution's Player of the Year in `06 ... a two-year team captain and three-time all-region honoree ... also selected to the all-county team three consecutive seasons ... led her team in service aces, assists and kills in each of her final two seasons ... was a two-year team captain ... chosen to play for the USA Youth National A2 Team in both 2006 and 2007 ... also played high school basketball and competitive soccer.

    PERSONAL The daughter of Ray and Nontie Chaudoin ... born on January 16, 1990 ... her brother, Joe, attends the University of Georgia ... served as class secretary for three years ... is a Communication and Culture major.
