    2011-12 Indiana Volleyball Banquet

    Indiana Volleyball held the banquet for the 2011 season on Sunday.

    JUNIOR YEAR (2012)
    Finished the season with 480 kills, 38 aces and 281 digs ... reached 10+ kills in all but three matches ... earned tournament MVP honors after leading Indiana to the Black Knight Invitational title ... earned All-Indiana Invitational honors after leading the Hoosiers to the tournament title with 53 kills in three matches ... had 13 double-doubles on the season ... had 20 kills, 11 digs, three blocks and two service aces against Cleveland State ... killed 19 to go along with 14 digs against Georgia Tech ... had 23 kills and 18 digs against Stephen F. Austin ... had 23 kills, eight digs, three aces and a block against Northwestern ... totalled a season-high 24 kills against Nebraska to go with 12 digs.

    REDSHIRT (2011)
    Redshirted the 2011 season after an injury in the spring of 2011.

    SOPHOMORE YEAR (2010)
    Started all 35 matches, leading IU to the first Sweet Sixteen appearance in school history ... led the Hoosiers with 463 kills, 1438 swings, 3.65 kills per set and 37 service aces ... named honorable mention All-Big Ten and honorable mention All-Midwest Region ... was named the CVU.com National Player of the Week on December 7 ... earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors twice ... ranked fifth in the Big Ten with 3.65 kills per set, sixth with 4.20 points per set and sixth with 0.29 service aces per set ... averaged 3.74 kills per set in Big Ten play, ranking third in the conference ... had eight double-doubles on the season ... added 64 blocks on the season ... posted a career-high 30 kills to lead IU to a second-round NCAA Tournament win over Tennessee, the third-best total ever by a Hoosier ... had nine or more digs in 29 of Indiana's 35 matches ... earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

    FRESHMAN YEAR (2009)
    Unanimous selection to the Big Ten All-Freshman team ... started all 34 matches, playing in every set ... set the freshman school record with 446 kills, crushing the previous mark of 398 held by '08 All-America honorable mention Erica Short ... ranked sixth in the conference and led IU with the 466-kill total ... a three-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week honoree (Sept. 14, Oct. 5, Nov. 30) ... connected on 28 kills versus Missouri State, the seventh-best match total in school history ... contributed defensively as well, recording 276 digs and 54 blocks (seven solo) ... compiled a team-high 11 double-doubles ... had a heavy role in the service game, totaling 27 aces and successfully receiving a team-high 832 serves (.964) ... tallied double-digit kills 26 times.

    PREP
    One of the nation's top recruits coming out of high school last summer, ranked the 20th best player nationally by PrepVolleyball.com and originally committing to Nebraska before deciding to sit out the 2008 season ... named a 2008 AVCA High School Senior All-American ... led Keith Country Day to a 37-5 record and a Class 1A state runner-up finish, the first state finals appearance in the school's 92-year history ... racked up 610 kills, 203 digs, 71 blocks and 101 aces in her senior campaign alone ... for her career, the four-year captain amassed 1,671 kills, a total which ranks second all-time in Illinois Class 1A ... garnered extensive club and international experience, serving as a member of the 2007 USA Junior National A-2 Team and playing for Club Fusion ... also excelled in the classroom, evidenced by her recognition as a Wendy's High School Heisman winner for her academic and athletic accomplishments.
