Indiana Falls in Four to College of Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Indiana Volleyball (5-1) fell for the first time in 2013, losing to College of Charleston (6-0), by a 22-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-21 final score. The Hoosiers placed two players on the College of Charleston Invitational all-tournament team, with Morgan Leach and Caitlin Hansen hauling in the awards. Leach led the way in the match with 13 kills, while Jordan Haverly added 11 and Awele Nwaeze added 10.
Indiana won set one 25-22, hitting .500 to open the match with 16 kills. Haverly added four kills and Leach was a perfect 5-for-5 in the set.
The second set was a much different story as the potent Cougar offense got going. The Hoosiers fell 25-18, with C. of C. getting five kills from Darcy Dorton. Indiana got four kills from Nwaeze and five digs from Hansen in the frame.
The third set saw the College win 25-18 again. The Cougars got five kills from Dorton and four from Melissa Morello. Haverly and Nwaeze each added three kills.
The fourth set saw Indiana mount a late comeback, but it wasn't enough as the College closed out the match to win 25-21. IU got four kills from Haverly and five from Leach in the stanza.
