Hoosiers Shoot Down the RedHawks, 3-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball (8-4) knocked off Miami in straight sets on Saturday night, winning 25-14, 25-10, 25-22. The Hoosiers hit .337 getting lights out play from freshman Amelia Anderson, who finished with 13 kills, and Samantha Thrower, who had 12 kills. The pair of Hoosiers made the all-tournament team.
Thrower hit .706 in the match and added three of Indiana's eight blocks and three aces. Kelci Marschall added 10 kills. IU got 37 assists from Katie Gallagher, and the Hoosiers finished with eight blocks.
The Hoosiers won the first set 25-14, hitting .393 behind five kills from Anderson and six from Thrower. The Hoosiers also got threedigs from Caitlin Hansen in the frame.
The second set was even more impressive as IU won 25-10, hitting .406. Marschall had six kills to lead the way, and Anderson added five more. Melanie Hicks added six digs.
The third set went to IU 25-22, getting four kills from Thrower and five digs from Gallagher in the frame. The Hoosiers also added three aces in the set, with Thrower serving two.
