Haverly Gets 1,500th Kill in 3-1 Loss to Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. - Indiana Volleyball (8-5, 0-2) fell 3-0 to Wisconsin (13-1, 2-0) on Saturday. The Badgers prevailed (25-23, 19-25, 25-16, 25-16). With her first kill of the match, Jordan Haverly surpassed 1,500 kills for her career, becoming the fifth Hoosier all-time with 1,500 kills. Morgan Leach led the team in the match with 18 kills. Caitlin Hansen had 21 digs, and Katie Gallagher added a season-high 47 assists.
In the first set, Caitlin Hansen added nine digs, but the Badgers got a late two point lead that led to the back-and-forth set ending with a 25-23 win for UW. Leach had five kills and Katie Gallagher had 13 assists.
The second set saw the Hoosiers storm out to a four point lead early and never let it go, pulling away to a 25-19 set victory. The Hoosiers hit .448 in the set with 16 kills. Haverly led the way in the set, hitting .500 with four kills in the frame. Gallagher had 15 assists, and Hansen had five digs.
Wisconsin won set three 25-16, getting the Hoosiers down 5-1 early and never letting them back in. Leach had four kills in the set.
The fourth set saw Wisconsin continue their run, winning 25-16. Leach had six kills in the final set. Hansen added five digs.
