    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Indiana volleyball team fell to 9-15 (2-10 Big Ten) on the season with a tough 3-0 (30-21, 30-20, 30-18) loss to No. 18 Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn.

    Individually, senior outside hitter Rachel Gerling led the Hoosiers with 10 kills, while freshman setter Laura Holm notched 16 assists. Meanwhile, junior libero Sara Diehl recorded 13 digs.

    The Hoosiers had a difficult time handling the Golden Gophers throughout the match, as Minnesota connected at a .389 clip during the contest.

    In the first frame, the Hoosiers fell 30-21 under a withering attack from Minnesota's offense. The Golden Gophers posted a .469 hitting percentage during the game.

    More of the same came in the second stanza as Minnesota claimed a 30-20 win with a .444 attack rate. Although, the Hoosiers did show signs of improvement with a .353 hitting percentage of their own.

    The Golden Gophers then closed out the match with a 30-18 win in the third game.

    Next up, the Hoosiers return home to face Penn State on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m., before battling Ohio State on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. Both contests will take place in the University Gym in Bloomington, Ind.
