Hoosiers Fall in Four to No. 15 Ohio State

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball (12-18, 4-14) fell to No. 15 Ohio State (22-8, 13-5) in four sets (25-18, 25-21, 26-28, 25-23). On senior night, Samantha Thrower and Kelci Marschall added nine and eight kills respectively, and Whitney Granado had 54 assists.
Jordan Haverly led the way with 15 kills, and Morgan Leach added 14. Granado's 54 assists are her second-most this season, and she added 10 digs to tally her fifth double-double on the year. Jade Henderson added nine kills, hitting .412
The Buckeye offense was firing on all cylinders in the first two sets, as OSU hit .483 and .429 respectively in those sets, winning 25-18 and 25-21. Indiana's offense was productive as well, tallying 14 kills in both stanzas. The Hoosiers got four kills from both Haverly and Leach in the first, and Marschall and Leach both got four in the second.
The Hoosiers came out of the locker room and slowed down the OSU attack, as the Buckeyes hit just .216 in the set thanks to six IU blocks, including three from both Thrower and Leach. The Hoosiers won the set 28-26. Haverly and Leach both had four kills in the frame.
The fourth set was tight and back and forth, with OSU winning 25-23. The Hoosiers got four kills from both Haverly and Henderson.
