Indiana Volleyball held the banquet for the 2011 season on Sunday. Seniors Mary Chaudoin, Caitlin Cox, Lindsay Enterline and Kristen Seaton were honored. The annual awards banquet saw Mary Chaudoin take home the Hoosier Army Leadership award and the Player's Inspiration award, while Caitlin Hansen was presented the Coaches' Award.
A highlight video was presented to start the banquet, featuring action and photos from throughout the season. A top-ten list of moments and memories from the season was presented by Assistant Media Relations Director Kyle Johnson and was followed by a season review by Head Coach Sherry Dunbar.
After individual letter awards were awarded, each senior was given their senior gift before being asked to give a speech. Cox was honored with a plaque commemorating her school records for digs in a season and digs in a career, and Enterline was presented with the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
Chaudoin was presented with the Hoosier Army Leadership award by Lieutenant Colonel Michael L. Ogden, which is given annually to the IU athlete that best represents the qualities valued by the U.S. Military and the Indiana University ROTC program. The Player's Inspiration award was presented by Hansen and is given to the player the team votes to have provided leadership and inspiration throughout the season.
The Coaches' Award is presented to the player whom the coaching staff feels best benefitted the team by going the extra mile in practice and showing a work ethic and attitude that provides a positive example for teammates. Assistant coach Nancy Mueller presented the award to Hansen.
