Indiana Volleyball Celebrates Seniors at Year-End Banquet

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball held its end of the year banquet on Saturday, celebrating the careers of seniors Whitney Granado, Kelci Marschall, Samantha Thrower and manager Nick Mackall. Each of the four seniors gave senior speeches to family and friends of the program in attendance. End of the season awards were also presented.
Players were presented with their letterwinner gifts, as Amelia Anderson, Katie Gallagher, Courtney Harnish and Kyndall Merritt earned their letter jackets, Chante George and Morgan Leach earned letter blankets and Caitlin Hansen, Jordan Haverly, Jade Henderson and Melanie Hicks all were awarded framed letters. The seniors earned senior rings.
Granado was presented the Hoosier Army ROTC Award by IU's Lieutenant Colonel Michael Odgen, while Leach presented Thrower with the Players' Inspirational Award. Assistant coach Nancy Mueller also presented Thrower with the Coaches Award.
The night was concluded with assistant coach Paul Koncir presenting head coach Sherry Dunbar with a certificate commemorating her 200th career victory, which came on Sept. 8, 2012 in a 3-0 win over Western Illinois.
