BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Volleyball's 2013 season is underway as the team officially reported on Friday. The Hoosiers hold their first practice of the 2013 season on Saturday and welcomes six new players to the program in transfers Danetta Boykin and Awele Nwaeze and freshmen Allison Hammond, Taylor Lebo, Jazzmine McDonald and Megan Tallman.

The first match of the 2013 season pits the Hoosiers against Robert Morris in an Aug. 30 showdown in the Indiana Invitational at U-Gym. You can get a glimpse of the Hoosiers a week before that, though, at the Cream & Crimson Scrimmage. See more info on Cream & Crimson Day here Get Acrobat Reader.

Seniors Melanie Hicks and Jordan Haverly said it will be important to get to work early to attain goals they've set for the season.

"I'm as excited as I have been since my freshman year," said Hicks. "We're really going to have to get after it these first couple of days. Everyone is going to be sore and tired, but we have to push through that. It is going to be a good preseason."

"Our goal is obviously to make it to the NCAA tournament," said Haverly. "We have other milestones we want to accomplish as well, such as going undefeated in the preseason. We've made our goals clear to everyone, so we should have everyone on board right away to accomplish them."
