BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After starting the season 3-0 and winning the UConn Classic tournament, the Indiana Volleyball team returns home to host the Indiana Invitational Sept. 5-6 at University Gym.

The Hoosiers will welcome Miami University (Ohio), Southeast Missouri State and Mississippi State to Bloomington this weekend.

The Hoosiers will host their home opener on Friday at 7:00 p.m. against Miami University (Ohio). On Saturday IU will play Southeast Missouri State (12:00 p.m.) and Mississippi State (7:00 p.m.).

The Hoosiers had four players earn special recognition by being named to the All-Tournament team for the UConn Classic. Senior Morgan Leach was named the MVP of the tournament and was joined by Megan Tallman, Courtney Harnish and Awele Nwaeze on the All-Tournament Team.

Junior Courtney Harnish leads the Big Ten in digs with 5.33/set and sophomore Megan Tallman leads the conference in assists with 11.92/set. Junior Awele Nwaeze is also second in the conference in blocks with 1.75/set.

This year is a special one, as the team will celebrate the 40th season of Indiana Volleyball. On Oct. 11th there will be a special alumni banquet leading up to the Hoosiers home match against Purdue.
