BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Shae Fournier has set a new all-time scoring record at Indiana with 247 career goals, and she was able to do it in front of the Hoosiers home crowd. Her four goals against Cal Baptist were just enough to push her past Kristin Stanford who formerly topped the list with 246. The new record was set on Senior Night in the midst of No. 15 Indiana's defeat of No. 19 Cal Baptist in Councilman-Billingsly Aquatic Center.

Fournier is on her way to becoming one of, if not the, best players in Indiana water polo history. Fournier, who currently holds the record at Indiana for most goals scored in a season with 95, is currently second on Indiana's all-time assist list as well with 140. She only needs 12 more to break the record of 151 set by Brooke Zimmerman. Fournier also holds the record for most goals scored in a single-match with six.

The first two minutes was all Rebecca Gerrity needed to give the Hoosiers a quick 2-0 lead all on her own. Center Candyce Schroeder added her first of three goals and Fournier rocketed in another to give Indiana a 4-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Lancers seemed to find answers to each one of the Hoosiers goals in the second half, repeatedly cutting Indiana's lead to one. Goalkeeper Jessica Gaudreault made a diving save on CBU's finial possession of the half, and IU headed to the locker room with a 6-4 advantage. Gaudreault finished the match with seven saves and one assist.

The start of the third quarter was all offense. Both he Hoosiers and the Lancers doubled their goal total in the third, giving IU 12 points and CBU eight at the end of the quarter. Center Candyce Schroeder recorded yet another hat trick and Colleen McNaught scored two. Seniors Allison Campbell and Amanda Redfern were also able to get in on the goal-scoring action.

Two scores in the fourth and final quarter rounded out the evening giving the Hoosiers a 14-11 victory in their first home match of the season. IU will face Michigan tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm EST. The event has been announced as a Red-Out.
