ERIE, Penn. - The No. 12 Indiana water polo team showed why they are one of the deepest teams in the conference in their 15-4 win over home team and conference opponent, Gannon University, at the Carnival Athletic Pavilion on Saturday.

The Hoosiers started the match scoring in twos. First came two from Meghan Lappan, then two more from Shelby Taylor.

Meghan Lappan tied her career high with a perfect three goals on only three shots and added two steals. Amanda Redfern also had a big game in the middle. She scored three goals as well coming off only four shots.

The Hoosiers were able to score in bulk even when using several different line-ups. They scored 12 in the first half while only giving up one goal netted from a 5-meter. They were able to hold the Knights to only three more goals and added four more themselves without a single starter playing the fourth quarter, showing their team depth.

Freshman Mary Campbell had her second of back-to-back big games for Indiana. She has ten saves, one assist, and three steals on 24 shots on goal.

With this win Indiana now moves to 16-11 overall on the season and 3-1 in the conference. The Hoosiers will host conference rival Michigan in Bloomington next Saturday at 12:00 pm EST.
