    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's water polo team released their 2014 schedule today (Jan. 8), which is highlighted by a home meet against conference rival Michigan. The team will compete in five tournaments and three single-game meets before conference playoffs begin in April.

    IU will jump-start their season by traveling to Ann Arbor to compete in the annual Michigan Kick-Off on Jan. 18 (opponent and match times to be announced later).

    For the months of February and March, IU will split time between the two coasts, first traveling to Providence, R.I., on February 1-2 to take part in the Brown Invitational. Indiana will compete against the host school, Brown, as well as conference opponent Hartwick on the first day. They are set to face both Wagner and Pacific on the second day of competition.

    The Hoosiers will take their first west coast trip February 8-9, making their way to San Diego to compete in the Triton Invitational. Match times and opponents are still being finalized and will be announced later.

    Indiana will host their only home meet of the season February 21-22. IU will play Cal Baptist on the 21st at 7:00 PM EST, and will get their first shot at rival Michigan at 7:00 PM EST the very next day.

    IU will start the month of March with an extended trip out west. They will play UC Davis at the Aggies home pool March 16 before making their way down the coast to play a match at San Jose State on March 18. Indiana will play the highly ranked USC Trojans and Hawaii Warriors on the island of Honolulu, Hawaii, to wrap up their west coast travels March 21-22.

    The Hoosiers final match of the regular season will take place at Ann Arbor, Mich. at noon on Saturday, March 29, against Michigan for the second game in a home-and-home series.

    Indiana will begin postseason play against Gannon and Hartwick on the first day of the CWPA Western Division Round Robin Number One in Oneonta, N.Y., on April 5, and will take on Marist and Notre Dame College the very next day.



    The CWPA Western Division Round Robin Number 2 will be hosted in Ann Arbor, Mich., April 12-13 against Notre Dame College, Hartwick and Gannon. The CWPA Conference Championships are being held April 25-26 in Lewisburg, Pa. The NCAA Tournament will conclude the season starting May 9 in Los Angeles, Calif.

    The Hoosiers return all starters but one of its starters from last year's squad. Senior Shae Fournier looks to continue her climb in the IU record books in a number of offensive categories (goals scored, assists, and steals). She is currently fourth all-time at Indiana with 220 career goals, fifth all-time in career assists (127), fourth in career steals (132), and well within reach of the all-time leader in each category.

    Other returning starters include goalie Jessica Gaudrealt,who has spent much of the offseason competing for the Canadian National Team, team assist-leader Colleen McNaught, Shelby Taylor, and Meghan Lappan.
