GATINEAU, Quebec. - Indiana's Shae Fournier netted two goals for the Canadian National Team, but it wasn't enough to lift Team Canada over the Americans in the 12-10 loss to Team USA in their second match of the 2013 Canada Cup in Gatineau, Quebec.

Canada jumped out to a quick lead by scoring two goals early in the first quarter, but the Americans eventually matched, and a USA goal scored with 30 seconds left in the first gave the Americans a 3-2 lead at the end of the initial quarter.

An extremely physical match earned several players multiple fouls and exclusions. Team USA was able to make the most of their 6-on-5 opportunities, scoring three goals on power plays and taking a 6-3 advantage at the half.

The Americans continued to build on their lead in the third quarter, and despite a late surge by Canada, they held on to record a 12-10 win. Hoosier Shae Fournier, who is joined on the Canadian National Team by Indiana goalkeeper Jessica Gaudreault, recorded one goal in the third period and another one in the fourth.
