Pease Leads Hoosiers to Third Place Finish at Indiana Intercollegiates

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Sophomore Sarah Pease placed sixth as she paced the Hoosier women's team to a third place finish with 120 points at the Indiana Intercollegiates, hosted by Purdue on Friday, Sept. 14.
Pease clocked a personal best time of 18:08.08 to finish sixth for the Hoosiers in the women's 5K out of a field of 162 runners. She was followed by senior Maura Ratcliff who placed 19th with a time of 18:45.52. Freshman Natalie Goolik crossed the finish line in 18:56.98 to take 28th, junior Caity Lauer placed 30th with a time of 19:07.35, senior Lauren Keefe took 41st with a time of 19:12.18 and junior Sarah Bielski rounded out the Hoosier pack in 86th with a time of 20:19.09.
Purdue claimed the women's title with 49 points and Ball State took second with 74 points.
The Hoosiers are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 29 when they compete at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.
