Pease Leads Hoosiers at Roy Griak Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore Sarah Pease led the Indiana women's cross country team to a 19th place finish with 510 points in the women's Jack Johnson gold 6K race at the 22nd Annual Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Minneapolis, Minn., on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Pease clocked a time of 22:31 to finish 44th overall for the women's team. Junior Kristina Trcka crossed the finish line in 23:44 to place 100th. Senior Lauren Keefe finished 119th with a time of 24:04 and junior Caity Lauer clocked a time of 24:08 to finish 120th. Senior Maura Ratcliff finished 127th with a time of 24:11, freshman Natalie Goolik placed 127th with a time of 24:17 and sophomore Jenny Kulow clocked a time of 25:21 for 160th overall.
Minnesota won the women's gold race with 97 points, while Arizona State took second with 100 points and Michigan State finished third with 109 points. UC-Santa Barbara finished fourth with 136 points and Nebraska rounded out the top five on the women's side with 163 points.
The Hoosiers will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind.
