Women's Cross Country Wins "The Challenge"
Bloomington, Ind. - With the 2004-05 school year coming to an end, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has announced that the Indiana women's cross country team is this year's winner of the first CHAMPS/Life Skills competition, "The Challenge."
The Hoosier cross country team excelled in academic achievement, personal development, community service, Hoosier pride and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee participation.
"I am very proud of my team," head women's cross country coach Judy Wilson said. "This group of young women proved they have what it takes to be all-around successful student-athletes. To be able to juggle school work, athletics, community service, among other things is something they really should take pride in."
For their tremendous achievements, they will be rewarded with a reception at Bryan House with President Herbert on Monday, May 2 at 5:30 p.m.
