Throughout the 2007-08 season, IUHOOSIERS.com will sit down and get to know the Indiana women's cross country team with a series of question and answer sessions called "Setting the Pace". Junior Caity Lauer is next on the list.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to Italy because I want to ride in a gondola.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself working at Disney World and making kids' dreams come true.

Finish this sentence - Since coming to Indiana, I've learned:
that there isn't an East Virginia and how to spell tomorrow.

What do you like best about Coach Helmer?
    I like his cowboy boots!

Something that many people don't know about you is:
    I am terrified of band-aids.

The teammate I most admire is who, and why?
Will Glover because of his amazing endurance on long distance runs.

Name one thing that you wish you were better at?
I wish I were better at pull-ups and dips!

What makes Indiana special from any other program?
    It doesn't have a mascot!

My favorite thing about Bloomington is:
    parking tickets.

What are your goals for this year?
My goals are to make it individually and as a relay member to indoor and outdoor nationals in track and field. I want to help our team place in the top five at Big Tens. Finally, I want to make it and compete well in the Olympic Trials (800).
