On the upcoming meet at Notre Dame:
JG: "There are several teams from our region and the Big Ten. We just want to go out and see how we match up against some of those teams we will run against in the NCAAs and regionals."
On goals for the upcoming meet:
JG: "There aren't really any time goals. We just want to regroup and run well. Coach Wilson has prepared us to do that and we just need to go and put it on the line and race like we know how to. Everyone had a good workout yesterday and we all need to get focused once we get on the line. Our training program has us peaking at the end of the season. Every race before that is just an opportunity to work on your running strategy, to race well and run smart. "
Head coach Judy Wilson
On the next couple of meets leading up to the NCAA regionals:
JW: "For us, the last three meets are the biggest, with Big Tens, regionals and nationals on our schedule. My goal for us this weekend is to come out and be more competitive than we were last weekend. We are going to see a lot of teams from the Big Ten and our goal is to go out and see where we stand."
On Notre Dame's course...
JW: "The course is really flat, especially compared to ours. You could take (race) times from our course and deduct 45 seconds to one minute from them. When you have that, the whole race is going to be faster. My message to them is to don't think, just run."
